Laboratory of Medical Assessment and Rehabilitation in Neurological Pathology
Mission: improvement and optimization of medical assessment and rehabilitation services
The purpose of the laboratory's scientific research: the implementation of scientific research in the field of medical examination and rehabilitation of patients with neurological pathology.
Object of research: patients with diseases and injuries of the nervous system.
Subject of research: health status, limitation of vital functions of patients with diseases and injuries of the nervous system.
Areas of activity (tasks)::
- development of scientifically grounded approaches in the formation of a system of medical assessment in neurological pathology;
- development of instructional and methodological documents regulating the conduct of medical assessment in neurological pathology;
- analysis of the formation and dynamics of disability in neurological pathology in the Republic of Belarus;
- development and implementation of methods for objectifying the presence and severity of disorders, disabilities and social impairment (disability) in patients with neurological pathology;
- development and implementation of methods for assessing the consequences of diseases and injuries of the nervous system, medical rehabilitation using the International Classification of Functioning, Disabilities and Health;
- development of methodological foundations of medical assessment for certain nosological forms;
- development of standards for assessment and rehabilitation diagnostics for diseases of the nervous system;
- justification and optimization, search for ways to reduce the terms of temporary disability in neurological pathology;
- development and implementation of modern rehabilitation technologies for disabling neurological pathology;
- development and implementation of techniques for objectifying the presence and severity of impairments, disabilities and social impairment (disability) in patients with neurological pathology;
- development, correction and implementation of medical rehabilitation programs;
- development of criteria for the effectiveness of rehabilitation;
- search and analysis of advanced rehabilitation technologies, methods used in global practice and experimental adaptation and implementation;
- development of a concept for the further development of rehabilitation care for diseases of the nervous system in the Republic of Belarus;
- introduction of technologies, methods on certain aspects of medical and social examination and rehabilitation in health care institutions;
- organizational, methodological and advisory assistance to institutions carrying out medical assessment and rehabilitation.
